In softball it can be done VERY quickly . . .


John Rittman was not quiet the Nick Saban of softball but may have been the Urban Meyer. He was let go at Stanford after recruiting some of the wrong the parents . . . a mistake that will get you gone; especially on the left coast. He came with all the right travel ball connections. Softball is far more about recruiting than player development. The best players arrive on campus 'field ready'. Couple Rittman's contacts with Clemson's national profile and relatively warm weather and you're an immediate contender.
